God Is In The Details

If you heard this phrase before .. well its associated to this man .. also .. "less is more" and this man is Ludwig Mies van der Rohe  or known as Mies .. Google is celebrating his birthday today ..
He began his career working in his father's stone masonry business. After an apprenticeship with furniture designer Bruno Paul in Berlin, he joined the office of architect Peter Behrens. In 1912, Mies established an office in Berlin, and later became Director of the Bauhaus. He immigrated to the U.S. in 1938, setting up a practice in Chicago.

But if you are intersted in interior design you will notice a lot of famous furniture items that was designer by him too .. the Barcelona .. or as i call it the barthelona theat .. which all interior designers or 3d visualiser must have use it in there designs .. including me .. the man invented the " Modern " word to the furniture deign.. its classic yet you will be surprised to know that it was designed in the 20`s

so here you can have a look on some of his furniture designs .. 

Created for the German Pavilion at the 1929 Barcelona Exposition, the Barcelona chair features the pure compositional structure that now epitomizes Modern architecture.
